If you like what you see and are in a hurry to rent somewhere
please have the following ready with you when you come to view the house.
Usually, we can check your references on the same day as your viewing,
give you a set of keys and you could be moving in the next day. 

What you need to move in:

Employment history for the past 5 years
Six months bank statements for proof of earnings and affordability. Showing your
wage going into your account.
Your passport and driving license should you have one.
NI number. Usually on your wage slip
Your last six months Wage slips
Date of Birth.
Previous addresses details covering the last 5 years
With details of previous landlords if you have been in rented accommodation.
Please note we will check the identity and property ownership due to the number of people sending us fake landlord details. 
Utility bill at your current address. 

If you are from outside the EU you will need to provide proof that you are allowed to work in the UK.

We also ask for a full credit search to make sure that you have no adverse credit or defaults on your file.
Please note we will still accept you as a tenant if you have CCJs or adverse credit, we understand that this can have happened down to pure bad luck. However, we will NOT accept you as a tenant if you have ever defaulted on your rental payments or have had your deposit kept by your Landlord /Letting agency.

This information is required from everyone who is on the tenancy, therefore if you are renting one of our family homes both partners will need to provide this information. CL Properties are governed by the Data Protection Act 1998 as per UK Law we are fully registered with the ICO  please see for more information 

We ask for a full months rent in advance to move in plus a Deposit equal to one month's rent
For shared houses (HMO) we do not ask for a deposit instead we ask for just two months rent in advance, thus keeping you a full month in advance throughout your tenancy, the last month after you have given your full months notice you will not need to pay as you will have paid at the start.
